Abstract
This text arises from the Business Management project carried out in the Business
Administration and Dentistry Programs at the IEES (Higher Education Institutions) where
the authors are linked.
From this framework, the objective of this work is aimed at studying and determining the
importance of Knowledge Management, as a strategic element in the development of human
talent, to promote competitiveness and organizational productivity in small and mediumsized companies in the city of Bucaramanga from the department of Santander. The research
methodology is descriptive, with a non-experimental cross-sectional field design, the
population was made up of people who are part of the organizations of the logistics business
sector. It is concluded that in this type of companies (SMEs), knowledge must be managed
to strengthen human capital (talent), applying policies, strategies, plans and training
programs and integration of the personnel to which it is part of the organizations under study,
under the horizon of promoting and increasing productivity and by derivation the
competitiveness of this type of companies.
