CLXXIX. INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICAL COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE AND THE RANDOM COMPONENT

Abstract
The presentation reveals the partial results of a research project that is currently in the second
phase of execution at the Pablo VI Diocesan College, Cereté - Córdoba. The objective is to
determine the influence of the implementation of strategies based on information
management in the development of mathematical communication competence and the random component in 9th grade students from this educational establishment. Theoretically,
it is based on the postulates of Blasco and Durban (2012), UNESCO and the Educational
Policies of the Ministry of National Education (MEN). Methodologically, it is based on a
quasi-experimental design, with a control group and an experimental group which, initially,
were diagnosed with the level of performance on communication competence within the
random component; Based on the results, an intervention program using strategies based on
information management was designed and applied to the experimental group and it is
expected to analyze the effectiveness of the application of the strategies, establishing the
differences between the two groups.
