Abstract
La Occupational accidents are a concern in medium and small Colombian companies due to the legal and financial risks that work accidents imply. According to (Dane), micro, small and medium-sized companies in Colombia represent 80% of the country's employment and 90% of the national productive sector” (Tiempo, 2019). Those who hire workers in these
companies do not have a human management department or clear personnel selection procedures, choosing their collaborators without any technique, which can affect accidents in these companies. Taking into account the above, the present investigation is proposed that seeks to analyze the incidence of the selection processes of human talent in the reduction of
the accident rate of MSMEs in the manufacturing sector under the qualitative methodology with a descriptive approach.
According to a publication of the Spanish Ministry of Labor Incidence of human behavior in work accidents, “Human behavior participates directly in the vast majority of work accidents, estimating in many studies that it can be a decisive factor in at least 80 % of work accidents "According to the ILO" The frequency of accidents and occupational diseases in micro and small companies is 20% higher than in medium-sized companies, and 40% higher than in large ones (ILO, 2015) “
