XCVIII. ENGLISH LISTENING SKILL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH MOVIES: ORIENTED TO INTERNATIONAL TEST

Abstract
Considering that listening is a receptive skill in the communication process, its comprehension is the
most complex of the 4 skills, in some cases the learners of English as a second language have some
drawbacks, for example, they take the main ideas of the context, and at the same time they have
anxiety for learn which derives in many cases of demotivation towards English class. It is important
to pay attention to how to help students to enhance their listening comprehension and motivate them
to develop their skills. Therefore, this article proposes the cinema as a mediator in the development of listening skill test-oriented approach through strategies such as Skimming, Scanning, listening,
predicting, choosing, and checking to answer the test´s questions effectively
