LXXXIII. THE INFLUENCE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OVER COMMUNITY MOTHERS AS A CONSTRUCTION MODEL OF SOCIAL SUBJECTS FROM CHILDHOOD

Abstract
The construction of knowledge based on an emotional dimension. Based on the need of
proposing projects of life that have a social incidence, the Participative Methodologies
Research Area at Universidad La Gran Colombia emerges as an opportunity of providing
pedagogic strategies to a group of 14 community mothers located in Bosa, at the south-west
part of Bogota. These mothers take care of 196 boys and girls who lived in this part of the
city. Consequently, the Participative Methodologies research area proposes the creation of a
diploma course for community mothers, with the purpose of offering support grounded on
the components established by ICBF (Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar) in the
fourth objective of the agenda 2030. The diploma course presents the development of the
following five modules: 1. Pedagogic Processes Component, 2. Protective Environments
Component, 3. Family, communities, and Support Networks, 4. Human Talent Component,
5. Health and nutrition Component.
During the Diploma course, the emotional intelligence is strengthening as a key element to
empower women to be agents of change in social environments, aiming to have a bearing on
children’s wellbeing and development. Moreover, the virtual ethnography methodology is
regarded as a powerful means of participation during this sanitary contingency since it works
as a vehicle of learning through digital tools.
