Abstract
This research sought an approach to the causes or social problems of the
young population that committed suicide, from the City of Puebla, Mexico. The goal of
The work was to identify the factors as an influence in the fact of deciding to take one's life,
taking into account the ideology implemented and the social representations in that area of
study, to achieve this, surveys were carried out on young people with suicidal ideation or tendencies
that allows us to approach the problem that haunted the youth that resolved
committing suicide, information was also obtained from public institutions in charge of
to address the problem of suicide in the City of Puebla, Mexico, information was collected
statistics. The main research findings indicate that suicide occurs
mostly in men, on the other hand, women try more, but they do not achieve their
execution. Investigating this problem leads us to be interested in what are the factors of
social incidence that are related to this phenomenon, in this sense it was found that the
society that judges "success", such as being heterosexual, getting married, having children, studying a
profession, having a good job, being religious, obeying, belonging to a group of friends
or social, consumerism, etc., as well as achieving a certain purchasing power and solvency
As a result, the youth have pressure to achieve this success.
