Abstract

ABSTRACT
The document analyzes the administration of technical personnel in the Police
Aviation Area of the National Police of Colombia, highlighting how the diversion of
specialized technicians to tasks old to their training has generated delays in the maintenance
of aircraft, affecting their operational availability and compliance. of security missions. This
has created a negative impact on productivity indicators and the morale of staff, who do not
see their skills used appropriately.
The research proposes a functional role to optimize human talent management,
ensuring that technicians exclusively perform the tasks for which they were trained. This role
seeks to standardize procedures and define clear roles and responsibilities, which would not
only increase operational efficiency and reduce associated costs, but also ensure aircraft
availability.
Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of strengthening internal
communication and human resources administration, proposing improvements that guarantee
the appropriate use of personnel's technical skills. Implementing this functional framework
would strengthen the operation of police aviation and contribute significantly to citizen
security, improving public perception of the National Police and consolidating its response
capacity in situations of high demand. Furthermore, having an optimized management
system would avoid operational risks and cost overruns, contributing to a more efficient and
reliable service.
