Abstract
ABSTRACT
Environmental education has awakened a resounding interest in the promotion of
various strategies so that students can be participants and direct actors in the conservation of
the surrounding space, which in many cases preservation is not the most adequate. Generating
in students an environmental awareness through critical reflection allows them to develop
one of the 11 multiple intelligences proposed by Gardner: the naturalistic or ecological, which
is of utmost importance due to the broad environmental problems that are a consequence of
human action.
The study aimed to determine the relationship between Environmental Education and
environmental conservation from the critical reflection of the students of the Piura 2024 High
Performance School. The methodology used is oriented under a quantitative approach with a
cross-sectional non-experimental design and descriptive scope, the participants were 169
students, selected through a simple random probabilistic sampling. A questionnaire was used
for the two variables to collect the information, and the instruments were duly validated by
experts in the field.
The results highlight that environmental education is significantly related to
environmental conservation from the critical reflection of the students of the High
Performance School of Piura 2024, with a high positive correlation, this is evidenced in the
generation and promotion of environmental awareness under the critical reflection of
students to preserve the environment.
