##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze the relevance of mentoring in the training of highlevel businesswomen for breaking the glass ceiling. This is a bibliographic review work that
seeks to identify the relevance that has had the implementation of mentoring. Through
quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, we seek to identify the tradition of research in
mentoring matters for women as a training strategy within organizations. The review of
research articles in English and Spanish was carried out from the Web of Sciences, Scopus
and Redalyc, Dialnet, and Google Academic databases.
It was found that during the period corresponding to 1999 to 2019, literature in Spanish is
scarce while in English is more abundant. In English, the number of articles increased
exponentially in the field of administration and business during the last three of the review.
From this work, it is concluded that mentoring is a training tool widely used in companies
and organizations that aim to improve the capacity of work teams through the transfer of
knowledge and that over the years its practice has been strengthened. This does that more
women reach themselves positions of management and control, favoring diversity in
corporate governance, among others.
