Abstract

This research is carried out with the aim of analyzing the type of leadership that currently
prevails in flexographic SMEs and the impact that this factor has on their productivity, since
they form part of 98.4% of the economic units in Mexico and face the challenges of
permanence in the market, proper administration of its processes and resources, and the
management of investment in technology.
The method used in it consists of a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, a correlational
level, and a mixed approach. To collect the information of the study subjects, 2 instruments
are used: a questionnaire and an interview. Both developed with questions focused on
autocratic and transformational leadership styles. Their level of reliability is defined by
lowering the calculation of Cronbach's Alpha and a level 5 Likert scale is used in their
responses. The results were analyzed with the SPSS software, where the main correlations
between variables are detected and the presence of the 2 leadership styles under six main
characteristics in the objects of study is concluded. Likewise, that this ability is embedded
within the work factor of the production function, which is variable and influences the general
productivity of companies, which contributes to their being more competitive and profitable.
