Abstract

This paper analyzes the perception of the university graduate in the 2018 - 2019 period of the city of Piura - Peru regarding financial education. The quantitative approach of descriptive type, non-probabilistic sampling was used, the survey technique was used, the instrument called closed type questionnaire was focused on the budget, saving and life project plan from the graduate's perspective, for which It was contextualized in 10 questions with alternatives characterized by the Likert scale, in which 1 (always), 2 (almost always), 3 (sometimes), 4 (almost never) and 5 (never), of which 180 voluntarily participated young people whose ages range from 22 to 25 years. It was discussed regarding the financial education that should be promoted from the university classrooms, since it is the context that will allow us to reflect on their role as a professional future, also, the importance of financial education to interact in the financial system, contribute to the culture of payment, having to make good decisions. It was concluded that the perception of the university graduate with regard to financial education is good, which allows us to deduce the need for consolidation, through professional careers, in such a way that allows the citizen to be raised to allocate a budget. family that generates well-being and proper use of credit cards.
