LXXXVIII. ACERCAMIENTO A LAS CARACTERÍSTICAS DE LOS EMPRENDEDORES DE RELACIONADOS CON INVESTIGACIÓN UNIVERSITARIA EN EL VALLE DEL CAUCA

Abstract

The chapter is an approach to the profiles of entrepreneurs related to university research
(RIU) in Valle del Cauca. The results of the global investigation show that the manifestation
of RIU is recent, the country has not yet made significant progress in understanding this
figure, here comes the justification of knowing the profiles of RIU entrepreneurs in Valle del
Cauca.
The methodology is descriptive and correlational and has a mixed approach. In the research
process, secondary source analyzes were carried out that allowed us to approach the
recognition of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Valle del Cauca. We achieved a consolidated
of 441 companies because of the investigation, 67 are from the Valle del Cauca region, where
53 are active, 9 canceled, 4 in liquidation and 1 no registration was found in the RUES and
we found that 20 of these companies did not they meet the requirements to be classified as
RIU companies.
It is concluded considering the findings that it is necessary for Min Ciencias to review and
adjust the requirements for these research products. It is possible to point out a growth of the
RIU companies in the department of Valle del Cauca. The results are contrasted with research
in the region.
